Mah-e-Roo | Embellished Ajrak

Mehran is what Sindh calls its river. This ajrak carries its colours.

A deep indigo border frames a field of madder red, laid out in the interlocking diamonds, lattices and rosettes that give ajrak its unmistakable geometry. Mehran is our most heavily worked ajrak: Mukka work is done entirely by hand across the field, with small mirrors and a scatter of sequins catching the light, and the whole piece is edged in a gold scalloped lace.

Rooted in the ajrak tradition of Sindh. Drape it over a plain kurta and let it carry the outfit.
