Serene is a floor-length appliqué kaftan in ivory white, set with metallic silver-taupe appliqué in paisley and boteh medallions across the collar, yoke, and sleeves, and scattered down the length of the body. Small shisha mirrors sit at the heart of each motif, catching the light with every movement. Every medallion is cut by hand, applied piece by piece, and stitched down with needle and thread, edges softly scalloped like the craft that inspired them.
Rooted in the Sindhi appliqué and shisha mirror-work traditions. Made to be worn, and remembered.
